Don't miss unusual view of the Loreto Square from the small bridge between Loreto Sanctuary and Capuchin monastery.

Reconstruction of the connecting bridge in 2017 closed the demanding reconstruction of the main facade of the Loreto Sanctuary. In the spring, the interior of this covered corridor, which was an important link between the Capuchin monastery and the Loreto, was restored.

The visitors are invited to enjoy restored wall paintings created at the beginning of the 18th century by the "al secco" technique. The painting in the lunette above the entrance to the monastery in oval stucco frame depicts St. Francis of Assisi.

On the left side of the entrance to the bridge, the wall is decorated with an interesting, illusive painting of the canopy, which apparently originally formed as a painted background for the wooden coat of arms of the Lobkowicz noble family, Loreto patrons.

The bridge has a beautiful original brick floor, which has also been restored during the renovation. Please, be careful when walking - we ask the visitors to remember that the three centuries of existence are inscribed in these old tiles, somewhere trampled, and therefore definitely not equal ... In the interior of the corridor are newly installed the original Baroque sculptures of the angels created by sculptor F. Quitainer, which originally stood on the balustrade of Loreto. 
In addition to the lapidarium, the joining bridge will serve as a new space for smaller exhibition projects.
