To celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary THE CARILLON AUTOMATON IS CHANGING IT'S MELODY. Newly set melody is the Marian Hymn "Maria, Maria brighter than the sun" 

New melody is set by Loreto Sanctuary regenschori Radek Rejšek together with the director Petr Bašta.

Changing the tune of the automaton is important and beneficial to the rare baroque carillon mechanism. By changing the melody, the parts of the machine that are under daily stress during playing are changed. The process of replacing the slats on the tone cylinder will take place on Wednesday August 14th, so there may be some strange noises coming from the tower on that day :))
